Chairperson - Mrs Ann Maree Whenman Ann Maree is a lecturer in the School of Religious Education at the Australian Catholic University. Prior to this she was Director of the Parish Support Unit in the Diocese of Broken Bay. Graduating with Honours in 1977 from Macquarie University, Ann Maree has taught Science and Religious Education for 25 years in state and Catholic secondary schools, most recently specialising in pastoral care. Ann Maree was appointed as the first full time Director of CCD in the Diocese of Broken Bay in March 2000. She has been a member of ICCOREIS since 2001. Deputy Chairperson - Mr Peter Adamson Originally a civil engineer, Peter became a Presbyterian minister and has for decades been employed in church planting both in WA and NSW. Along the way, he has regularly taught SRE and was one of the first two school chaplains in WA. For many years he has also been a casual teacher in Christian schools. Currently he is completing a Dip Ed. Once Director of Scripture Union in WA and most recently Chairman of Scripture Union in NSW, he was also the original Executive Officer for GenR8 (The NSW High Schools SRE Association). | Honorary Secretary - Rev Cheryl Glendining As a trained primary school teacher and ordained Baptist pastor, Cheryl constantly seeks to be in the best place that God would have her, and currently she combines her gifts of teaching, pastoral and administration to be the Production Coordinator of GodSpace, a ministry resource for SRE teachers and children's ministries. Over the past 30 years Cheryl has completed studies in Wollongong and Sydney, NSW, and Philadelphia, USA; had pastoral responsibilities at four Baptist churches; taught SRE in a number of state schools and Christian Studies at Menai High School; started the Creative Arts programme at St George Christian School; been the Coordinator of Creative Ministries with Baptist Youth Ministries and the Coordinator of Kids Stump (part of Black Stump). Cheryl has a passion to see kids empowered to be a part of the church of today and to be free to express their God given gifts wherever and whenever God desires them to be ministering to others. Honorary Treasurer - Mr Robert Haddad Robert is married to Suzy, and has four children, Elias, Anthony, Catherine and Christina. He holds qualifications in law, theology and religious education, namely, a LL.B, Grad. Cert. in RE, Grad. Dip. Ed., MA (Theo. Studies), MRelEd and a M. Phil. For his M. Phil. Robert researched the apologetical arguments of St Justin Martyr. Besides his studies Robert has also authored various books, including Lord of History Series (2 volumes) and Christ the Teacher Series (4 volumes), and most recently The Case for Christianity - St Justin Martyr's Arguments for Religious Liberty and Judicial Justice. From 1990-2005 Robert worked full-time at St Charbel's College, Punchbowl, teaching Religion and History. He held the positions of Year Coordinator and Religious Education Coordinator concurrently for 10 years and was Deputy Principal (Welfare) for 6 years. From 2006-2008 Robert worked full-time as the Convener of the Catholic Chaplaincy at the University of Sydney. Currently he is the Director of the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine for the Sydney Diocese and lectures in Religious Education at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney. Executive Officer - Mrs Sue Sneddon Sue joined ICCOREIS IN 1997 as a representative for the Anglican Church. She has served as a member of the Promotions committee and as Honorary Secretary. From 1997 - 2009 Sue was employed by the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle, with responsibility for supporting and resourcing ministry with children and young people in addition to Special Religious Education. Sue is based in Newcastle, part of the beautiful Hunter region, and maintains close links with CCRESST, the local committee which supports and provides training for SRE teachers.
